As Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has directed non-essential businesses to close, we want you to know that electricians are exempt from a shut down as we are critical to the infrastructure of Maryland, and the United States.

What that means is that Walter Electric will continue to operate during this time of crisis to serve our customers with their electrical needs, emergencies, and installations.  Rest assured we are operating with vigilance and safety measures in place.  Our technicians are healthy, or they do not work.  They wear booties, gloves, and masks if needed to avoid catching or exposing others’ germs.  We practice social distancing on all appointments, and do not shake hands.  We take this seriously, as we take serving our customers seriously too, when they need us most.

Our thoughts and support are with all businesses and residents throughout the state and country.  Walter Electric and our employees thank you for your continued support.

What We’re Doing To Keep Our Customers and Employees Safe

Walter Electric, the regions trusted electrician for homes, properties, and businesses throughout Maryland, continues to be open, and are prepared to serve our residents during this unprecedented time.  We are using every precaution to ensure our employees, and customers reduce the risk of communal spread of the virus.

In addition to the measures the CDC recommends, we are taking our own initiatives to ensure our team of technicians can continue to serve the electrical needs of our community.

We are checking in with our electricians every morning to confirm their health.  We ask on every service appointment they:

  1. Continue to Wear disposable booties into every home.
  2. Wear gloves and a mask on appointments.
  3. Do not shake hands with customers, and maintain a safe distance of 4-6 feet from others.
  4. We continue to touch only electrical work in the home, and not areas of high traffic or usage.
  5. Clean up after themselves.

Know that as we work together as a community to avoid the spread of this contagious virus, Walter Electric is still working hard to be here for you when you need us most.
